Work towards full finger bend with the 3pp Final Flexion Wrap

The 3pp Final Flexion Wrap is a soft, adjustable wrap that holds a finger bent at its middle and end joints (the PIP and DIP joints). 3-Point Products made it to help restore the last part of finger flexion, the end of the range that's hardest to get back. This pack of 25 suits hand therapy clinics. The wraps are washable, so you can use each one again.

A stretch the wearer controls

The wrap goes around the bent finger and fastens back on itself. Because the material grips anywhere along its length, the wearer pulls it as snug as they can comfortably manage and loosens it if it's too much. 3-Point Products calls this a static-progressive stretch: a steady hold that can be tightened a little at a time as the finger allows. Your hand therapist will show you how far to bend the finger and how long to wear it.

What's in the 3pp Final Flexion Wrap

Each wrap is a single strip of grey, hook-receptive material with a soft foam lining on the inside and a white hook tab at one end. The narrow end slips through a slit in the wrap, then the strip winds over the bent finger and the tab fastens it in place.

Features

  • Fully adjustable hook-receptive material, so the wearer sets the force to what they can tolerate.
  • Soft foam lining spreads pressure over the nail bed and helps hold the wrap in place.
  • Conforms over the nail for a comfortable hold at the fingertip.
  • Works on the middle and end finger joints (PIP and DIP) at the end of their range.
  • Fits after other splints: 3-Point Products says it's ideal after dynamic splinting or after the 3pp Step Down Splint.
  • Washable and reusable, and one size fits most fingers.
  • No natural rubber latex in the wrap or its packaging.

Watch the Final Flexion Wrap in use

3-Point Products' own fitting video shows how to thread the wrap, wind it over the finger and adjust the stretch while it's on.

Is the Final Flexion Wrap right for you?

  • Usually suits: extension contracture of the finger, where the middle or end joint won't bend fully. That's the indication 3-Point Products lists.
  • Often used: after dynamic splinting, or after the 3pp Step Down Splint.
  • Latex: no natural rubber latex was used in the product or packaging.
  • Wearing time: the fitting video shows wearing it for up to 10 minutes at a time. Follow the time your therapist gives you.

3-Point Products recommends using the wrap under the guidance of a health care provider trained in hand and finger conditions. Talk to your hand therapist or doctor about whether it's right for you and how to use it safely.

Choosing the right option

The Final Flexion Wrap is one size and fits most fingers, so there's no measuring to do. We stock the pack of 25.
