Adjustable Threshold Ramp for Safe and Independent Home Access

Are uneven doorways and thresholds a constant source of frustration and a barrier to easy movement? The daily struggle and risk of navigating these small steps can limit independence and create unnecessary stress. Our Adjustable Threshold Ramp is the ultimate solution, providing a secure, reliable, and non-slip bridge for seamless access, empowering safe and independent navigation for wheelchair, scooter, and walker users.

Reliable Wheelchair Ramp for Doorways with Superior Grip

Engineered for safety and convenience, this non-slip ramp ensures smooth transitions and secure footing. The durable aluminium construction is paired with a high-traction grit-tape surface to deliver excellent grip and stability, even in wet weather. Accessibility starts right at your doorstep.

  • Multiple size options: Available in four sizes to accommodate threshold rises up to 15cm (6 inches).
  • Non-slip surface: High-traction grit-tape surface for superior grip in all weather conditions.
  • Non-slip feet: Adjustable legs with rubber feet ensure a stable fit for every rise.
  • Low-profile design: Allows residential and commercial doors to swing open over the ramp easily.
  • Independently adjustable legs: Accommodates uneven surfaces both indoors and outdoors, a key feature of any adjustable threshold ramp.

What Height Step or Threshold Will This Ramp Suit?

Because the legs adjust independently, this ramp handles rises from a low door sill right up to 15cm (6 inches). That covers most single steps, raised thresholds, and shallow kerbs around the home.

Choose your size on gradient, not just on height. Every model adjusts to the same maximum rise, but a longer ramp spreads that rise over a longer run, giving a gentler and safer slope. A short ramp set to its full height creates a steep climb that is hard work for a self-propelling manual wheelchair user and can feel unstable on a scooter. If in doubt, size up.

  • Up to 4cm: Standard door sills and patio door thresholds. Any size in the range will work comfortably.
  • 4cm to 10cm: Raised thresholds, paving lips, and low single steps. Choose 66cm or longer.
  • 10cm to 15cm: A full single step or low kerb. Choose the 91cm model for a safe gradient.
  • Over 15cm: Beyond the range of this ramp. You will need a folding or modular ramp instead. Contact us and we will point you to the right product.

How to Measure Your Threshold

Five minutes with a tape measure now will make sure you order the right size first time.

  1. Measure the rise. Rest your tape on the ground at the base of the step and measure straight up to the top surface. This is the most important number. If the ground slopes away, measure from the lowest point the ramp will sit on.
  2. Measure the opening width. Measure across the doorway at its narrowest point, usually between the door stops rather than the outer frame. Your ramp should be no wider than this opening.
  3. Check the door swing. If the door opens over the ramp, open it fully and check there is clearance above the ramp surface at the height you plan to set it.
  4. Check the run-off space. Measure the flat ground in front of the step. You need at least the full length of the ramp, plus room to line up and approach it straight on.
  5. Check the ground surface. The adjustable legs handle moderate unevenness, but they need a firm base. Soft soil or loose gravel will need a paver or firm packing underneath each foot.

Once you have your rise and width, match them against the table below. If your rise falls between two sizes, choose the longer ramp.
