A light mobile commode for the shower and toilet
The Aluminium Mobile Shower Commode Chair 136kg is designed for easy, safe transport to and from the shower or toilet. The heavy duty, lightweight aluminium frame has a textured coating, and 5 inch non-corrosive castors with rear locking brakes make it easier to roll over uneven surfaces and small humps.
Fewer transfers for the user and the carer
When standing and walking are difficult, every move between bed, toilet and shower takes effort. With a mobile commode the user sits once, and the carer wheels them where they need to go: into the shower, or straight over the toilet with the seat at 59.5cm high.
Comfortable support while showering
Plastic straps on the backrest give comfort and support while still leaving room to reach and wash the user's back. The fold-up plastic footplate supports the legs and folds out of the way for getting in and out.
Ready to use as a commode
It comes with a clip-on, high density non flex plastic seat with lid, plus a pail with lid and a splash guard. The backrest and castors are removable, and the plastic castors help reduce the chance of rust and corrosion.

Is this mobile shower commode right for you?
- Usually suits: people who have trouble walking or standing, and carers who need to move them safely to the shower or toilet.
- Check first: the user's weight must be under 136kg. The seat sits 59.5cm high, so check it clears your toilet (see below). The base is 57cm wide, so measure your bathroom doorway.
- Not included: there are no large rear wheels, so the user can't push it themselves. A carer pushes it.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or occupational therapist about the right commode for your needs.
Choosing the right fit for your bathroom
- Measure your toilet height. Measure from the floor to the top of the toilet bowl rim. The chair's seat sits at 59.5cm, so the bowl needs to fit underneath it. Email us your measurement if it's close and we'll confirm.
- Measure the bowl width. Measure across the widest part of the toilet bowl, so we can check it fits between the frame.
- Measure doorways. The narrowest doorway on the way to the bathroom needs to be wider than 57cm.
- Check the floor. Look for steps, tracks or a hob at the shower entry. The castors manage small humps, but a step will stop it.
