Why a Layered Foam Mattress Feels Different

The top layer is high-density memory foam. It softens with body warmth and moulds to the shape of the person lying on it, so they sink in a little rather than lying on top of a firm surface. Below it, two support layers of firmer foam give steady support underneath, so it doesn't feel too soft.

The cover matters as much as the foam in a care setting. This one is a 4-way stretch PU fabric that moves with the foam, keeps spills out, and lets moisture vapour escape. The zip runs around the underside, out of the way of fluids, and the cover comes off for machine washing.

• Removable, machine washable cover. Washable up to 95 degrees, and replaceable if it wears out.
• Fire retardant cover and foam. Cover meets the CAL 117 flame retardant standard.
• Long warranty. 5 years on the foam and 2 years on the cover.
