Two-Part Folding Design with Adjustable Feet

The two-part folding design lets you go up and over the threshold in one continuous movement, with no lip to catch a castor. The adjustable feet let you set the ramp accurately to the height of your step, up to a maximum rise of 15cm, so it sits level and stays put instead of rocking under load.

Practical and Weatherproof

Which Size Do I Need?

Both sizes are 76.2cm wide, carry a safe working load of 272kg, and use the same adjustable feet with a maximum rise of 15cm. The only thing that changes is length, and length is what sets the gradient you will be pushing up.

• 127cm (RIHT10122): at the full 15cm rise this gives roughly a 1:8 gradient. Suits assisted pushing and most powerchairs. At 12.8kg it is the easier of the two to move around and reposition single-handed.
• 170cm (RIHT10124): at the same 15cm rise this gives roughly a 1:11 gradient, which is noticeably easier to self-propel and much safer to descend under control. Choose this one if the user pushes themselves, or if your rise is at the upper end of the range.

This ramp handles rises up to 15cm. If your step is higher than that, the adjustable feet will not reach it and this is not the right ramp for you. That includes vehicle load floors and boot lips, which sit far above 15cm on almost every vehicle. Measure your rise first, and if it comes in over 15cm, contact us with the number and we will point you to a ramp that suits.

How to Measure Before You Buy

1. Measure the rise, not the step face. Rest a straight edge or spirit level on the top surface you are rolling onto, hold it out level, and measure straight down to the ground with a tape measure. That vertical drop is your rise. The most common mistake is running the tape along the sloped face of the step instead of straight down.
2. Measure where the ramp will actually sit. Ground that falls away from the step adds to the rise. Take the measurement at the spot the ramp foot will land, not at the highest point of the ground.
3. Measure the chair or scooter at its widest point, usually the wheel arches or armrests rather than the seat, and allow clearance inside the 76.2cm ramp width.
4. Add up the total weight going up the ramp: user, plus chair or scooter, plus anything carried. Compare that against the 272kg safe working load with a margin, not right at the limit.
5. Check where it will be stored if the ramp is going to travel with you, particularly for the 170cm version.

Match your measurements against the table below. If you fall between the two sizes, size up: the longer ramp is always the gentler gradient.
