Secure, contoured knee immobilisation with the Dyna Tri-Panel Knee Immobiliser

The Dyna Tri-Panel Knee Immobiliser is made to immobilise, protect and support the knee following injury or surgery. Its three-panel design contours to the leg, and two-way opposing hook and loop straps hold the knee 100% immobilised.

Why You'll Love the Dyna Tri-Panel Knee Immobiliser

  1. Contoured, secure fit. Tri-panel construction follows the natural shape of the leg for a better anatomical fit.
  2. Firm, controlled hold. Two-way opposing hook and loop straps give even compression for full knee immobilisation.
  3. Extra stability. Anatomically contoured posterior and medio-lateral metal stays help with alignment and limit unwanted movement.
  4. Easy on, easy off. A user-friendly design that suits clinic and home use.

Life with the Dyna Tri-Panel Knee Immobiliser

After a knee injury or operation, the last thing you want is a brace that slips or is a fight to put on. This immobiliser opens flat, wraps around the leg and straps closed, so you or a carer can fit it neatly at home. With eight lengths to choose from, it suits a wide range of leg sizes.

The Dyna Tri-Panel Knee Immobiliser in a nutshell

  1. Tri-panel design: the centre panel sits along the front of the leg and the side panels wrap around.
  2. Metal stays: posterior and medio-lateral bars for knee stability and alignment.
  3. Opposing straps: two-way hook and loop for a firm, even fit.
  4. Eight lengths: 12 to 26 inch, for knee circumferences of 32-49cm.

Choosing the right length

The immobiliser comes in eight lengths, from 12 to 26 inch, and every length suits a knee circumference of 32-49cm. Performance Health doesn't publish a guide to which length suits which leg, so it's best chosen with your clinician.

  1. Check the knee circumference. With the leg straight, measure around the middle of the kneecap. It needs to be between 32 and 49cm.
  2. Use your clinician's length. If your surgeon, physio or orthotist has told you which length to get, order that one.
  3. Not sure of the length? Email us your knee measurement and your clinician's advice, and we'll confirm the length with the supplier before you order.

Is it the right knee immobiliser for you?

  • A good fit: holding the knee straight and still after an injury or operation, when your clinician has asked for a knee immobiliser.
  • Check with your clinician first: how long to wear it each day and whether you can put weight on the leg while wearing it.

It is listed for post-injury and post-surgical recovery, ligament injuries including ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL, and knee instability needing external support. To fit it, fasten the straps just above and below the knee first, then the rest, keeping the kneecap centred between the middle straps. Every knee and every recovery is different, so we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or physiotherapist about whether this is the right option for you, and follow their advice on wearing it.
