An Ultra-Low Electric Bed That Grows With Your Needs
The Cobalt Flexi Floorline Bed is an electric care bed that lowers the mattress platform to just 9cm from the floor and raises it to 80cm. It suits homes and aged care rooms where someone may roll or slip out of bed, and where carers still need a comfortable working height. Choose a Single, or a King Single with the width extension already fitted.
Dispatched from our Australian supplier's NSW warehouse, usually within 2-7 business days.
Why a Floorline Bed Makes Sense
A standard bed leaves a long drop to the floor. The Flexi brings the platform right down to 9cm for sleeping, then lifts it up to 80cm so getting up, making the bed or helping someone sit is easier on everyone's back. The handset moves the height, backrest, knee section and whole-bed tilt, so you can find a comfortable position without lifting anyone by hand. The bed comes in four sections that pull apart, which makes it far easier to get through narrow hallways and into small bedrooms.
Features
- Ultra-low 9cm to 80cm height range. Measured to the mattress platform, not including the mattress.
- Electric height, backrest, knee bend and tilt. Trendelenburg and anti-Trendelenburg (head-down or feet-down) tilt up to 14°.
- Manual calf lift with 5 positions. Raise the lower legs as well as the knees.
- Single or King Single in one frame. The width extension turns a Single into a King Single, and it can be fitted or removed later.
- Optional 20cm length extension. Extra room for taller users (a mattress bolster is needed with it).
- Four-piece "pull apart" design. Comes in four ready-to-assemble sections with plug-and-play electrics.
- Handset with lock-out. Lock the controls so settings aren't changed by accident.
- 24V low-voltage motors with a 9V emergency battery back-up. Keeps the bed usable if the power drops out.
- Homestyle beech head and foot boards. A warm, homely look for the bedroom.
- 4 x 75mm dual castors with individual brakes. Move it for cleaning, then lock it in place.
- 5-year frame and 3-year electrics warranty.
Planning for a fall from bed? A bedside crash mat sits neatly beside a floorline bed at its lowest height, and you'll find mattresses to suit in our electric bed mattresses range.
Is the Flexi Floorline Bed Right for You?
It usually suits you if you:
- want a bed that sits close to the floor at night but rises to a comfortable height for getting up and for carers
- need electric backrest, knee and tilt positions at home or in aged care
- may need a wider or longer bed later, without buying a new frame
- have tight doorways or stairs, where a one-piece bed would be hard to move in
Good to know before you order:
- This listing is for the bed frame. The mattress isn't included: the recommended mattress is 88 x 198cm for the Single and 105 x 198cm for the King Single.
- Side rails, the self-help pole, the 20cm length extension and the fabric head and footboard covers are optional extras, sold separately.
- With side rails in use, the mattress needs to be 12.5cm to 15cm deep.
- The safe working load is 185kg.
- For advice on falls risk and positioning, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider.
