What Makes It Different
Most gel cushions are made for an average-size chair seat. If you sit in a wider wheelchair, a lift recliner or a roomy armchair, a standard cushion can leave gaps at the sides or slide around. The Extra Large GelComfort covers more of the seat, and at 5cm thick it won't lift you so high that your feet leave the footplates or the floor.

Is the GelComfort Extra Large Right for You?
It usually suits you if you:
- sit for long stretches in a wheelchair, recliner or armchair with a wider seat
- find a standard-size cushion too small for your seat
- want a thin cushion that won't raise your seat height much
- weigh 180kg or less
Good to know before you order:
- Measure your chair seat first. A cushion that hangs over the edge or leaves big gaps won't sit well.
- The cover supplied is the grey breathable cover. It is not a waterproof cover.
- If you have skin concerns or need a cushion for a specific seating need, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before you buy.
Choosing the Right Size
- Measure the width of your chair seat from side to side, inside the armrests or wheelchair side guards.
- Measure the depth from the back of the seat (where the backrest meets it) to the front edge.
- Compare both with the cushion size of 55 x 50cm. The closer the match, the better the cushion stays in place.
- Check the seat height with the cushion added. At 5cm thick, it adds about 5cm to your sitting height.
