A supportive low back chair you can set to your height
The Heavy Duty Low Back Day Chair Height Adjustable 250kg is an orthopaedic day chair with an adjustable seat height and depth, a curved padded backrest and weight bearing armrests. Its powder coated steel frame is rated to 250kg, and the vinyl padding wipes clean.
Easier to sit down in and get up from
A soft, low lounge chair can be hard to get out of, especially after surgery or when your hips and knees are sore. With this day chair you can set the seat anywhere from 46cm to 61cm high and adjust the seat depth, for good hip support and a seat at the right height for standing up.
Comfortable for longer sitting
The curved, padded backrest gives postural support and comfort, particularly if you sit for long periods. The padded armrests are weight bearing, so you can push up on them as you stand.
Built to last in any room
It suits almost every room of the house. The powder coated steel frame needs very little maintenance, rubber stoppers on the legs protect your floors, and the vinyl covered padding is easy to wipe clean.

Is this low back day chair right for you?
- Usually suits: people recovering after surgery or during therapy, and anyone who finds a standard lounge chair too low or too soft to get out of.
- Check first: the user's weight must be under 250kg. This is a low back chair, so it doesn't support the head and neck. If you need that, ask us about a high back chair.
- Not included: it has no recline, lift or wheels.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or occupational therapist about the right chair for your needs.
Choosing the right seat height
- Sit down with your shoes on. Use a firm chair and keep your feet flat on the floor.
- Measure from the floor to the back of the knee. This is roughly the seat height that suits you.
- Check it fits the range. The seat sets anywhere from 46cm to 61cm. A slightly higher seat makes standing up easier, as long as your feet stay flat on the floor.
- Measure thigh length. Measure from the back of the bottom to the back of the knee. The seat is 46cm deep and the depth adjusts, so email us your measurement if you're unsure.
