A higher toilet seat with arms to push up from

The Height Adjustable Raised Toilet Seat with Arms 136kg lifts your toilet seat by 5, 10 or 15cm and adds a pair of armrests to hold as you sit down and stand up. You don't have to bend as far, and you have something steady to grip.

Why height and armrests both help

A standard toilet is low, so sitting and standing means a deep bend at the hips and knees. A raised seat shortens that movement. Armrests let your arms share the work so your legs aren't doing it all, which is why many people prefer this style to a plain raised seat.

Arms that fold back for transfers

The armrests are removable and fold back. Move them out of the way when sliding across from a wheelchair, or when someone else in the house is using the toilet.

Features

  • Three heights: raises the seat by 50mm, 100mm or 150mm.
  • Armrests: support when sitting down and standing up.
  • Fold back, removable arms: easier side transfers.
  • Width between arms: 45cm.
  • Rated to 136kg: net weight 3.8kg.

Is this raised toilet seat right for you?

  • Usually suits: people who find getting on and off a standard toilet hard, for example with stiff hips or knees, or weak legs.
  • Check first: the user's weight must be under 136kg, and they should sit comfortably within 45cm between the arms. The seat sits on top of the toilet bowl, so email us if your bowl shape is unusual.
  • Consider instead: a toilet frame or commode if the user needs more support than armrests on the seat.

We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or occupational therapist about the right toilet aid for your needs.

Choosing the right height

  1. Measure your toilet. Measure from the floor to the top of the bowl rim, with the seat removed.
  2. Measure the user. Sitting on a firm chair with feet flat and knees at about a right angle, measure from the floor to the crease behind the knee.
  3. Pick the rise. The gap between those two numbers tells you roughly how much lift is needed: 5, 10 or 15cm. Email us both measurements if you'd like us to check.
