Grip, pinch and finger range of motion from one case: the Jamar Hydraulic Hand Evaluation Kit
The Jamar Hydraulic Hand Evaluation Kit puts a hydraulic hand dynamometer, a hydraulic pinch gauge and a finger goniometer in one case. You can measure grip strength, pinch strength and finger range of motion in one sitting. It's made for occupational therapists, physiotherapists and certified hand therapists, and it reads in pounds and kilograms.
Run a full hand assessment without hunting for tools
Open the case at the start of the appointment and work through grip, pinch and finger range of motion one after the other. The dynamometer and pinch gauge both hold their peak reading until you reset them, so you can write the number down without rushing. When you're done, everything goes back in its foam cut-out, ready for the next client or the next home visit.
What's in the Jamar Hydraulic Hand Evaluation Kit
- Jamar Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer (081028935). Measures grip strength, with a handle that adjusts to five positions.
- Jamar Hydraulic Pinch Gauge (081187343). Measures pinch strength up to 45 pounds.
- Jamar 6" (15cm) Finger Goniometer (081187434). Stainless steel, for measuring finger joint range of motion.
- Carry case, instructions and a certificate of calibration.
Features
- Three tools in one case. Grip, pinch and range of motion all come from one matched set.
- Peak-hold needles on the dynamometer and pinch gauge keep the highest reading until you reset it.
- Five grip positions, from 3.49cm to 8.57cm (1.375 to 3.375 in) in 1.27cm (half-inch) steps, to suit different hand sizes.
- Pounds and kilograms on the gauges, so you can record in the unit your clinic uses.
- Calibrated and supplied with a certificate of calibration and instructions for measuring hand strength and flexibility.
- Foam-lined carry case keeps each tool in its own place between the clinic and home visits.
Is the Jamar Hydraulic Hand Evaluation Kit right for you?
- Usually suits: occupational therapists, physiotherapists and certified hand therapists who measure grip strength, pinch strength and finger range of motion, in the clinic or in research settings.
- Good to know: the dynamometer and pinch gauge are hydraulic, with needle dials. If you'd rather have digital readouts and automatic averages, look at the Jamar Plus+ Hand Evaluation Kit.
- Only need grip strength? A dynamometer on its own may be all you need. Email us and we'll help you compare.
Choosing the right option
- Hydraulic or digital: this kit uses hydraulic needle gauges. The Jamar Plus+ Hand Evaluation Kit has a digital dynamometer and digital pinch gauge.
- Whole kit or one tool: choose the kit if you test grip, pinch and finger range of motion. Choose a single dynamometer if you only test grip.
- Units: the gauges read in pounds and kilograms, so you don't need a separate version for metric records.
