A light transit wheelchair that folds down small for the car
The Lightweight Aluminium Transit Wheelchair 45cm Seat 130kg is made for carers who push. It weighs 12.6kg, folds to 29cm wide, and the backrest folds down too, so the whole chair fits more easily into a car boot. A padded seat, seat belt and flip up armrests make it easy to use for outings and appointments.

Easier outings for you and the person you care for
Lifting a heavy wheelchair in and out of the car can put you off going out at all. This chair keeps the weight down with a red aluminium frame and smaller rear wheels, so it's easier to lift and takes up less room once folded.
Comfortable and secure for the passenger
The black nylon seat and backrest are padded, and a seat belt is fitted. Plastic side guards sit under the armrests to keep clothing away from the wheels.
Simple for the carer
The push handles have rubber grips with brakes, and the rear wheels have a brake lock for when you stop. The armrests flip up and the footrests swing away and detach, which clears the way for transfers.

Is this transit wheelchair right for you?
- Usually suits: people who will be pushed by a carer for outings, appointments and travel, where a light chair that folds small matters most.
- Not designed for: pushing yourself. The rear wheels are small and have no hand rims, so the chair needs someone to push it.
- Check first: the user's weight must be within the 130kg capacity, and the chair needs to suit their needs and abilities.
- Take care with accessories: adding a cushion or other accessory can change the chair's centre of gravity and make it more likely to tip. Always check an accessory suits the chair before you use it.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider, therapist or carer before choosing a wheelchair.
Choosing the right fit
- Check the weight capacity. The user's weight must be under 130kg.
- Check the seat width. The seat is 45cm wide. Sit on a firm chair and measure across the widest part of the hips. If you're unsure whether 45cm will fit, email us the measurement and we'll help.
- Check the seat height and depth. The seat sits 46cm off the floor with a 40cm seat depth.
- Check your doorways and car boot. It's 61.5cm wide when open, 29cm wide folded, and 69cm high with the backrest folded down.
