Keep Moving When You Can't Put Weight on One Foot

The Drive 790N Premium Knee Walker lets you rest the shin of your injured leg on a padded knee pad and push along with your good foot. It's made for lower leg, ankle and foot injuries where you can't bear weight on the affected side, and it's an alternative to crutches when the injury is below the knee.

Dispatched from our Australian supplier's NSW warehouse, usually within 2-7 business days.

Why a Knee Walker Instead of Crutches

Crutches take a fair bit of upper body strength, and weeks of using them can wear you out. On a knee walker, your shin rests on the pad, your hands stay on the handlebar and your good foot does the pushing. The removable basket carries a drink or your phone from room to room, so your hands stay free for the handlebar.

Features

  • Padded, contoured knee pad. Supports your leg and keeps you steady. It measures 19 x 38cm.
  • Dual hand brakes with parking lock. Slow down with either lever, and lock both when you stop.
  • Tool-free height adjustment. The knee pad sets from 42cm to 51cm and the handlebar from 77cm to 92cm.
  • Fold-down handlebar. Saves space for storage and makes it easier to fit in the car.
  • 20cm (8") castors. For use indoors and outdoors.
  • Removable basket. Somewhere to put your things as you move around.
  • Corrosion-resistant frame. A robust frame with a sporty look.
  • 150kg safe working load.
  • 12-month warranty. Covered for a year from purchase.

Is the Drive Knee Walker Right for You?

It usually suits you if you:

  • have an injury below the knee and have been told not to put weight on that foot
  • can stand and balance on your other leg with your hands on a handlebar
  • weigh up to 150kg
  • want to get around the house, the office or the shops without crutches

Good to know before you order:

  • The knee pad only supports your shin. It isn't a seat, so don't sit on it.
  • It's designed for injuries below the knee, because your shin rests on the pad.
  • Drive recommends practising with the brakes on, and with someone nearby, until you feel confident using it on your own.
  • For advice on whether a knee walker suits your injury and recovery, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider.

Choosing the Right Fit

  1. With your injured leg on the knee pad, you should be able to stand as straight as possible. The pad adjusts from 42cm to 51cm.
  2. Set the handlebar so you can hold it comfortably while standing straight. It adjusts from 77cm to 92cm.
  3. Check your doorways and hallways. The knee walker is 45cm wide and 82cm long.
