Steady wrist support with the fingers free: the black Rolyan D-Ring Wrist Brace

The Rolyan D-Ring Wrist Brace in black is a regular length brace that stops unwanted bending of the wrist forwards or backwards while the fingers and thumb keep moving. Rolyan made it for arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis and other wrist disorders, and for support and protection during injury recovery. D-ring straps make it simple to put on, take off and set the tension.

Keep your hands doing the day's jobs

The wrist stays held in place, but the palm, fingers and thumb are left open, so you can still type, cook, carry and write. The non-elastic wrap-around design spreads the pressure evenly. Need a break? Loosen the straps, then pull them snug again through the D-rings.

What's in the Rolyan D-Ring Wrist Brace

Secure. Four straps close over the back of the forearm and wrist, each through its own D-ring.

Thumb free. A lined opening lets the thumb through, so it can move on its own.

The long pocket on the palm side holds a removable aluminium bar. Bend it to adjust the support, or take it out to wash the brace.

Features

  • Holds the wrist, frees the fingers: prevents unwanted flexion or extension while the fingers and thumb stay free.
  • D-ring closure system for simple fitting and removal, with the tension set the way you like it.
  • Removable, adjustable aluminium bar for extra support.
  • Double layer of stockinette under the closures cushions the straps.
  • Cotton stockinette lining against the skin.
  • Forearm length grows with the brace size, so a bigger brace is also a longer one.
  • Machine washable and latex free.

Is the Rolyan D-Ring Wrist Brace right for you?

  • Usually suits: support and protection for the wrist after an injury, and wrist conditions Rolyan lists such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis and problems from repetitive activity.
  • Usually not suitable for: severe sprains, straight after a fracture, or use directly over open wounds or infected areas.
  • Stop using it if unusual swelling, skin discolouration or discomfort occurs. If pain or discomfort continues, see a healthcare professional.
  • Straps: don't do them up so tight that they interfere with circulation.

Talk to your doctor or hand therapist about whether a wrist brace suits you, how to set the aluminium bar and how long to wear it.

Choosing the right size and side

Rolyan sizes this brace by wrist circumference. The brace column is the brace length Rolyan lists for each regular length size.

  1. Measure around the wrist. Wrap a soft tape around the wrist at the wrist crease, snug but not tight, and note it in cm.
  2. Pick the size from the table below.
  3. In a gap between sizes? Rolyan's ranges have small gaps, for example between 16.5cm and 17.1cm. If you land in one, email us and we'll help you choose.
  4. Choose the side. Order Left for the left hand and Right for the right hand.
