Make comfortable, secure splint straps with a little give
Rolyan Neoprene Strapping Material is a neoprene strap with a nylon lining on one side and pile on the other. The pile side grips onto hook material. Neoprene has a bit of stretch, so the straps you cut from it fit comfortably and stay secure. Rolyan makes it for straps on custom-made splints and AFOs. Each roll is 3.2mm thick and 3.2m long.
Straps that stay snug as the wearer moves
Hard, non-stretch straps can dig in as the arm or hand moves. Neoprene gives a little, so a strap made from this roll holds the splint in place without pressing hard against the skin. Cut a length and fix a tab of hook material to the splint. The pile side closes straight onto it.
What's in the Rolyan Neoprene Strapping Material
One roll of beige neoprene strapping, 3.2mm thick and 3.2m long, 2.5cm wide. You'll need hook material on the splint for the strap to close onto.
