The strongest, most conformable Rolyan sheet
Rolyan Polyform is the only Rolyan splinting material with minimum resistance to stretch and maximum rigidity when cool. It stretches easily and forms with gentle pressure, then sets harder than any other Rolyan material.
Why You'll Love The Rolyan Polyform
- Strongest Rolyan material. Rated 137.7 kpsi, it resists dents, cracks and breaks once cooled.
- Maximum conformability. Picks up fine contours and detail for a precise fit.
- Gentle forming. Stretches easily when heated, so take care not to over-stretch.
- Coated. A temporary bond while warm; scrub off the coating or use bond solvent for a permanent one.
Your day, with the Rolyan Polyform
Polyform suits medium custom-moulded splints for fingers, wrists, elbows and foot drop, as well as adaptive equipment. It can be reheated and reshaped, but it won't return to its original shape.
The Rolyan Polyform in a nutshell
- Thickness: 3.2mm.
- Colour: white.
- Options: solid or 1% perforated, 45.5 x 60.5cm sheet.
Choosing solid or perforated
Both options are the same white 3.2mm sheet, 45.5 x 60.5cm. The only difference is solid or 1% perforated, so go with the finish you normally use for the splint.
Is it the right splinting material for you?
- A good fit: medium custom-moulded splints for fingers, wrists, elbows and foot drop, and adaptive equipment, where you want the strongest Rolyan sheet.
- Take care: it stretches easily when heated, so watch you don't over-stretch it. It won't return to its original shape once reheated.
- Also consider: Polyflex II if the splint will flex under heavy work.
Thermoplastic sheets are made for therapists and clinicians who shape custom splints. For advice on which material suits a particular splint, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or hand therapist.
