Lift the foot and walk with confidence: the SaeboStep foot drop brace
The SaeboStep V2.0 is a lightweight foot drop brace that sits on the ankle, outside the shoe. A thin cord lifts the front of the foot so it clears the ground as you walk. Saebo made it as an alternative to stiff, bulky splints that go inside the shoe. It works with most men's and women's shoe styles. Choose the Complete Kit in black or beige, a spare Eyelet Hook Kit, or the Barefoot Accessory Strap for walking at home without shoes.
Walk in the shoes you already own
Put on your usual shoes, clip the cord to the small hooks on the laces and close the ankle cuff. A turn of the dial sets how much the front of the foot lifts, so the toes clear the ground with each step. It suits sneakers and leather slip-ons alike. The brace stays outside the shoe, so there's nothing bulky under your foot.
Low profile, simple and comfortable
The cuff has a contoured comfort fit and a soft magnetic fastener. It's fully adjustable with no cutting or trimming, and fits ankles from 16.51cm to 27.94cm around.
What's in the SaeboStep
Lift. The strong, durable cord slips onto the included eyelet hooks and lifts the foot quickly and easily.
Adjust. The dial lets you set the lift angle you need for safe foot clearance while walking.
Secure. The ankle cuff dial and magnetic fastener secure the brace to the ankle with one hand.
Release. A simple turn of the dial releases the tension when you need it.

For home: the Barefoot Accessory Strap
The Barefoot Accessory Strap lets you use your SaeboStep around the house without shoes, with or without socks. It's a lightweight, padded, elastic strap the cord clips onto, so the brace can still lift the front of the foot. The SaeboStep brace isn't included, and you need one to use the strap. It works with a SaeboStep you already own.

Is the SaeboStep right for you?
A therapist should check the person before they start. Here's the general guide from Saebo.
- Usually suits: people whose injury has left them with limited leg movement and difficulty raising the foot, ankle or foot weakness, or reduced feeling in the foot that affects coordination.
- Usually not suitable with: severe joint deformities in the foot or ankle, moderate or greater tightness or spasticity in the foot or ankle, moderate or severe swelling in the foot or ankle, or open wounds.
- Fitting: it's designed to fasten with one hand. If hand function is limited and there's no carer to help, putting it on may be hard.

Choosing the right option
The brace is one size and fits ankles from 16.51cm to 27.94cm (6.5 to 11 inches) around. Start with the Complete Kit. The Eyelet Hook Kit and the Barefoot Accessory Strap add to a SaeboStep you already have.
- Measure the ankle: wrap a soft tape around the ankle and check it's between 16.51cm and 27.94cm.
- Pick a colour: the Complete Kit comes in black or beige.
- More shoes? Each Eyelet Hook Kit is a pair of black hooks for one shoe, so you can set up another pair.
- Barefoot at home? Add the Barefoot Accessory Strap. Saebo lists the strap widths below. Email us the width of the foot at its widest point, in cm, and we'll confirm which size to order.
