The Pioneers of Resistance Band
These truly superior bands have a virtually limitless number of uses in fitness and rehabilitation settings, be it for post-operative rehab, strength training, injury treatment, or to aid sensory development in children, or those with disabilities. Bands are also ideal for low-impact exercise programs for those who suffer from arthritis, torn or strained muscles, and other conditions that limit physical capabilities.
Achieve Your Fitness Goals
THERABAND resistance bands are available in progressive resistance levels, allowing you to track your progress and challenge yourself to reach the next resistance level. As strength increases, move up a resistance level. If you find yourself caught between two resistance levels, increase the number of reps. Or double up your band for twice the resistance! Proper use of these systems for resistive exercise provides both positive and negative force on the muscles, improving strength, range of motion and cooperation of muscle groups.
A Colour-Coded Trusted Progression™ System
With eight colour-coded resistance bands, THERABAND offers a Trusted Progression™ System clinicians can confidently rely on during patient recovery. A unique proprietary system, THERABAND’s colours indicate different resistance levels. Tested before use by clinicians, THERABAND products can be used with integrity and confidence in the rehabilitation process.
Elastic Resistance Force and Torque
Elastic resistance is a unique type of resistance training compared to other traditional forms, such as isotonic or isokinetic resistances. The resistance provided by elastic bands or tubing is based on the amount that the band or tubing is stretched. This resistance can be measured in kilograms of force depending on the percentage the band or tubing is stretched from its resting length; this is known as force-elongation.
