The Thermoskin Thermal Adjustable Shoulder with V Stabiliser is a cutaway thermal shoulder brace that Thermoskin designed to support shoulders with instability, arthritis or tendon conditions. It's lined with Thermoskin's Trioxon Advantage material for warmth and light, firm compression. A removable V Stabiliser comes with it, for the days you want extra support. Thermoskin rates it at their Stabilising support level.

Support you can dial up or down

Start with the V Stabiliser on for extra stability across the chest, back and middle of the shoulder. As the shoulder gets stronger, take the stabiliser off and keep wearing the brace on its own. Thermoskin says it can be worn day and night, and it suits overhead sports like golf, tennis, netball, basketball, AFL and rugby.

Low profile and breathable

The adjustable arm and chest straps sit close to the body, so it fits neatly under clothes on either the left or right shoulder. The lining breathes and wicks moisture, which helps on long days of wear.

How to fit it

Thermoskin's fitting steps for the brace, then the optional V Stabiliser.

1. Position it: place the brace firmly on the shoulder (left or right) with the seam running directly over the shoulder blade.
2. Chest strap: with the chest strap open at the front, lay the shorter strap across the chest. Feed the longer strap under the opposite arm and through the buckle of the short strap, then pull it taut until comfortable.
3. Bicep strap: wrap it around the upper arm until firm and fasten it.
4. V Stabiliser (optional): lay it flat with straps A, B and C spread out. Clip tab (i) onto the bicep strap with strap C along the middle of the shoulder. Attach strap A to the chest, strap B to the back, then strap C over the mid-line of the shoulder. Adjust the straps for more stability.

Is the Thermoskin Adjustable Shoulder right for you?

This is Thermoskin's general guide. A physio or doctor can tell you if it suits your shoulder.

• Usually suits: rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, and general shoulder instability or weakness. Thermoskin says it's best for low to moderate impact shoulder activity and a controlled return to activity.
• Not for: shoulder dislocations. Don't wear it within the first 72 hours after an acute injury.
• Skin: it contains a synthetic fibre that may cause an allergic reaction. If irritation or a rash develops, stop wearing it and see a doctor.
• If pain continues: stop using it and talk to your doctor or physio.
• Latex: it doesn't contain latex.

Everyone is different, so check with your physio or doctor about whether it's right for you, especially after surgery.

Choosing the right size

There's one size and Thermoskin says no measuring is needed: it fits most adults and works on the left or right shoulder. The straps adjust the fit across the chest and around the upper arm.
