A padded, comfortable thigh hoop with the Kinetec Thomas Splint Hoop Cover
The Kinetec Thomas Splint Hoop Cover puts a padded cover on the Thigh Hoop of the Kinetec Thomas Splint. It wraps over the hoop and clips over the top of the thigh with a strap and buckle. Covers come in packs of 5, in four sizes that match the four Thigh Hoop sizes.
Padding where the splint meets the thigh
The thigh hoop takes the load at the top of the splint, right against the thigh. The Hoop Cover puts a padded layer between the steel hoop and the skin, and the strap and buckle hold it closed over the top of the thigh.
What's in the Kinetec Hoop Cover
Each pack holds 5 padded covers in one size. Each cover has a strap and buckle to close it over the thigh.
Foam first. With the Thigh Hoop Foam Cover in place on the hoop (sold separately), Kinetec wraps the Hoop Cover over the top.
Wrap and clip. Wrap the Hoop Cover over the Thigh Hoop, then clip the strap and buckle over the top of the thigh.

Choosing the right size
Each cover size is made for one Thigh Hoop size. Match the cover to the hoop on the splint.
- Check the Thigh Hoop number on the splint, from 1 to 4.
- Pick the matching cover: XS for Hoop 1, Small for Hoop 2, Medium for Hoop 3, Large for Hoop 4.
- Choosing the hoop too? Kinetec measures the thigh circumference near the groin, at an oblique angle, on the uninjured leg. Use the ranges below, then order the matching cover.

Building a new splint? Kinetec says not to use a Size 1 Thigh Hoop with a Size 4 Leg Support, or a Size 4 Thigh Hoop with a Size 1 Leg Support.
