Best Sports Tape & Strapping
Strapping a whole team before kick-off? You'll want tape that tears cleanly and holds. We stock rigid sports tape, strapping tape, kinesiology tape, underwrap and cohesive bandages, much of it in full boxes, from an Australian family business that knows clinics and clubs.
Rigid and elastic sports tape
Different jobs need different tape. Here's how the range breaks down, so you can pick the right roll for the job.
Rigid strapping tape
Rigid tape doesn't stretch, which makes it the go-to for ankle and wrist strapping. Choose Cramer RigidGuard 38mm, Elastoplast Sport Premium 3.8cm or Metron SPT. The Cramer and Elastoplast lines come in boxes of 30 rolls for clubs and clinics.
Kinesiology tape
Kinesiology tape stretches and moves with you. We carry Metron K-Tape, THERABAND kinesiology tape with XactStretch indicators that show how far you've stretched it, and Dynamic Tape ECO, which is latex free.
Cohesive and elastic adhesive bandages
Andover Co-Flex cohesive bandage sticks to itself, not to skin or hair, and comes in latex and latex-free versions. Metron elastic adhesive bandage is hand tearable. The Nu-StimWrap is a reusable elastic wrap with hook and loop closure.
Underwrap, adhesive spray and dressing tape
The layers under and around your tape matter too. Good prep helps tape stay put through a full session.
Underwrap and pre-taping
Metron TheraFIX underwrap goes on first to protect the skin. Fixomull Stretch is a porous adhesive base that rigid tape can sit on. Tensospray adhesive spray helps tape and dressings grip.
Surgical and dressing retention tape
Surgipore surgical tape and Hypafix non-woven retention tape hold dressings in place. For support wraps, see our compression bandages, and keep a first aid kit at the ground.
Sports tape FAQs
What's the difference between sports tape and kinesiology tape?
Rigid sports tape doesn't stretch, so it's used to limit movement at a joint. Kinesiology tape stretches and moves with you.
Do I need underwrap before strapping?
It's optional. Underwrap or a stretch adhesive base like Fixomull Stretch sits under rigid tape, which helps protect skin and makes removal easier.
Is there latex-free sports tape?
Yes. Dynamic Tape ECO and Andover Co-Flex Latex-Free are both latex free.
What width of strapping tape should I buy?
38mm is the standard for ankles and wrists. 25mm suits fingers and thumbs. Kinesiology tape usually comes 5cm wide.
