AED defibrillators for workplaces, schools and clubs
An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is a portable device that checks a person's heart rhythm and can deliver a shock when one is needed. It is built to be used by a rescuer in an emergency, alongside calling for help and starting CPR. We stock trusted brands for workplaces, schools, sports clubs, councils, first aid providers and households.
Semi-automatic and fully automatic AEDs
Our range includes both types. Some models add CPR coaching, a colour screen or connected features, and a few include an ECG display and manual mode for trained responders. These devices are intended for trained users, so always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Choosing the right AED
Think about who is likely to use it and where it will live. A busy office, a school oval and a home each ask different things of a defibrillator. Look at the display, the voice prompts, the battery life and the carry weight. Keep it somewhere easy to see, and store it in a AED cabinet or case so it stays protected and ready.
AED batteries, sensor packs and training
A defibrillator is only useful if it is ready to go. We also supply replacement AED batteries and CPR feedback sensor packs. Add AED trainers so your team can practise before an emergency, and stock first aid kits alongside your AED for a complete response setup.
Defibrillator questions
What is the difference between a semi-automatic and a fully automatic AED?
With a semi-automatic AED, the rescuer presses the shock button when prompted. A fully automatic AED delivers the shock itself after warning everyone to stand clear.
Do I need training to use an AED?
Many AEDs give spoken instructions to guide the person using them. We still encourage first aid and CPR training, and practice with a trainer unit builds confidence.
How often does an AED battery need replacing?
It depends on the model. The manufacturer sets the replacement date, so check the product page and the instructions, and look at your AED's status indicator regularly.
Where should I keep my AED?
Somewhere visible, easy to reach and known to everyone on site, not locked away. A wall-mounted cabinet or carry case helps protect it from knocks and weather.
