Best Splinting & Hand Therapy Supplies

Making splints every week? You need materials that behave. It's all the splinting supplies your clinic reaches for, in one place, from an Australian family business.

Thermoplastic splinting material and splint making supplies

A good custom splint starts with the right sheet and ends with the right strap. This range covers every step in between, from heating and cutting to padding and fixing.

Thermoplastic sheets and precut splints

Choose from Rolyan Aquaplast, Aquaplast-T, Ezeform, Polyform, Polyflex II and CuraDrape thermoplastic splint sheets. Each handles differently, so you can match the material to the splint. Aquaplast-T Watercolours adds a bit of colour for kids and teens.

Short on time? Precut gauntlet thumb spica, positioning and humerus fracture brace blanks save you the pattern work. Woodcast offers a water-free option that's moulded with dry heat.

Splint strapping, padding and stockinette

Finish each splint so it's comfortable to wear. You'll find hook and loop tape, R-Stretch, SoftStrap and neoprene strapping, plus self-adhesive foam, gel, moleskin and Kushionflex padding. Cotton and Coolmax splint socks, stockinette rolls and Tubifast sit between the skin and the splint.

Heat pans, tools and dynamic splinting parts

Rolyan heat pans come in 9L shallow, 28L deep, 28L digital and 56L sizes. Add a heat gun for spot heating, Fiskars or Gingher splinting scissors, and Speedy or screw rivets for straps.

Building a dynamic splint? We carry outrigger wire, Aquatubes, line connectors and finger loops and slings.

Ready-made splints and hand therapy aids

Not every client needs a custom splint. These off-the-shelf options are quicker to fit and easy to clean.

Resting and positioning hand splints

Browse SoftPro, Saebo and Rolyan resting splints, hand cones, palm protectors and finger separators. For a wider choice, see our hand splints for contractures.

You'll also find the SaeboGlove, SaeboStretch, a folding Saebo mirror box, arm training balls and the SaeboStep foot drop brace. Compression gloves come in full and open finger styles, and our arthritis compression gloves page has more.

Casting supplies and cast protectors

Stock up on AquaCast water-resistant cast liner, Cellona padding, orthopaedic felt and De Soutter cast saw blades. Seal-Tight protectors keep a cast or dressing dry in the shower, and the Darco SlimLine boot sits alongside our other cast shoes.

Setting up a hand therapy room? Pair your supplies with one of our hand therapy tables.

Splinting supplies FAQs

Where can I buy thermoplastic splinting material in Australia?

Right here. We stock Rolyan Aquaplast, Ezeform, Polyform, Polyflex II and CuraDrape sheets, plus Woodcast, precut splints and all the strapping and padding to finish them.

What is low temperature thermoplastic?

It's splinting material that softens in hot water at around 65 to 75°C. That's cool enough to shape it straight onto the hand once it has cooled slightly.

Which should I choose: Aquaplast, Ezeform or Polyform?

Aquaplast turns clear when ready and can be reheated and reshaped. Ezeform is rigid with little stretch, good for larger splints. Polyform drapes closely for detailed contours.

What thickness of splinting material should I use?

3.2mm suits most hand and wrist splints. Thinner 1.6mm or 2.4mm sheets are easier to shape for finger and thumb splints.
