Bath Transfer Bench with Sliding Swivel Seat 136kg
Slide across the bath without stepping over the edge
The Bath Transfer Bench with Sliding Swivel Seat 136kg lets you sit down outside the bath, then slide and turn the seat into place over the tub. You never have to lift your legs over the bath wall while standing, which is often the moment balance gives way.
Why a sliding, rotating seat helps
A standard bath board still asks you to swing your legs over the edge from a fixed seat. On this bench the seat moves along rails and turns a full 360 degrees. You can sit facing the room, slide across, then turn to face the taps. A carer can guide the seat as it moves instead of taking your weight.
Secure while you wash
Foam padded armrests give you something firm to hold, and they flip up when you want to slide on or off from the side. A seat belt adds extra security. The textured plastic seat and backrest are non-slip, and drainage holes stop water pooling under you.
Steady on the bathroom floor
The lightweight aluminium frame stands on a wide base with suction cups and non-slip tips. The legs adjust in height to suit your bath.
Features
- 360 degree rotating seat: turn to face the taps once you're over the bath.
- Sliding seat on rails: move from outside the bath to over the tub.
- Non-slip seat and backrest: durable textured plastic with drainage holes.
- Flip up padded armrests: support when seated, out of the way for transfers.
- Seat belt: extra security while seated.
- Height adjustable: seat height from 47.7 to 57.8cm.
- Wide, stable base: suction cups and non-slip tips.
- Lightweight aluminium frame: 6.5kg, rated to 136kg.
Is this bath transfer bench right for you?
- Usually suits: people who find stepping over the bath wall unsafe, and carers helping someone in and out of a shower over bath.
- Check first: the user's weight must be under 136kg. The bench needs floor space on both sides of the bath wall (87.4cm long overall at its highest setting), so check your bath and any shower screen.
- Not included: a hand held shower, which makes washing while seated much easier.
- Assembly: minor assembly is required.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or occupational therapist about the safest way for you to bathe.
Choosing the right fit for your bath
- Measure the bath wall height. Measure from the floor to the top of the bath rim. The bench gives up to 44.4cm of clearance, so the rim needs to sit below that. Email us your measurement if it's close.
- Check the seat height. The seat adjusts from 47.7 to 57.8cm. Sitting with feet flat on the floor and knees at about a right angle makes transfers easier.
- Look at the bath edge. A fixed glass screen or a wide tiled hob can stop the bench sitting square. Send us a photo if you're unsure.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Bath Transfer Bench with Sliding Swivel Seat 136kg Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
