Adult Bone Injection Gun | B.I.G Single Use Intraosseous Device
A Single-Use Automatic Intraosseous Device for Adult Patients
The B.I.G Bone Injection Gun Adult (Single Use) is the world's first automatic intraosseous (IO) device, built for rapid vascular access when IV access is not available or not fast enough. Intraosseous access means delivering fluids and medications through the bone marrow instead of a vein, a non-collapsible route that still works in shock, dehydration and cardiac arrest. The B.I.G uses a simple "position and press" mechanism, so IO access can be established within seconds. It is intended for use by trained medical professionals.
Automatic Spring-Loaded 15G Trocar
Each disposable bone injection gun has an automatic spring-loaded trocar with a 15G needle, so you press the trigger instead of twisting or manually drilling into the bone. That keeps the technique consistent even for a first-time user working under pressure. It is ready to use with no maintenance required, and it has a rapid learning curve for caregivers. The manufacturer describes it as safe, reliable and usable in extreme conditions.
Why It Earns a Place in the Kit
- Ready to use, no maintenance: fully assembled and disposable, so there is nothing to service or charge, which means it will not let you down from being forgotten in storage.
- Pocket-sized at 16.5 x 7.6cm (6.5 x 3in): small enough for a kit pouch or pocket, so it does not eat into space you need for other equipment.
- Lightweight at 79g (2.8oz): adds negligible weight to a response bag, so a fully stocked kit stays manageable to carry.
- 5-year sterile shelf life: stock it once and it is ready when needed, which lowers your replacement and wastage costs over time.
- FDA and CE approved: meets recognised international safety and performance standards, giving your clinical governance team confidence to add it to protocol.
Who This Suits
Built for trained healthcare professionals and EMS crews who need rapid vascular access on adult patients when IV access has failed or is not fast enough. It is fully automatic and spring-loaded: position it, press it, and the trocar deploys to depth on its own. That is a different technique to manual (non-spring-loaded) IO devices such as the NIO range, which rely on the operator driving the needle by hand. An automatic device removes some of that technique-dependent variability, which can help in a high-stress scene or with a less experienced operator; a manual device can suit those who prefer direct tactile control of insertion. Choose whichever mechanism matches your protocol and training.
This is the adult model. Do not use this device outside its adult indication.
Compact, Long Shelf Life and Approved
The B.I.G is pocket-sized, so it is easy to store in an emergency kit, ambulance or first aid room. It has a 5-year shelf life and is FDA and CE approved.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Let customers speak for us
from 613 reviewsThe shopping experience with this company was very easy and straight forward. The product was delivered promptly which was great.
Love the soft medical sheepskin foot overlay. I’m at risk of pressure sores,so this is perfect for my feet. Customer service and delivery were first rate.
Very prompt delivery and it was free of charge as well, which is very nice
Very useful thing
Excellent service!
It is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
