Cobalt Standing Sling for Standing Hoists, Loop or Clip, Sizes S-XL
A Standing Sling for Sit-to-Stand Transfers
The Cobalt Standing Sling is a padded stand aid belt for standing hoists. It supports someone during sitting and standing transfers, such as bed to wheelchair or chair to commode, and it can also be used with a standing hoist for walking practice. It comes in four colour-coded sizes from Small to X-Large, with loop or keyhole clip attachments.
Dispatched from our Australian supplier's NSW warehouse, usually within 2-7 business days.
Why a Standing Sling Helps
A standing sling is made for people who can bear some weight and stand with help, but whose balance isn't steady enough to manage on their own. The sling wraps around the back and waist and holds them securely while the hoist takes some of the load, so they can stay involved in the move instead of being lifted like a passenger. For carers, a snug waist belt and a buckle you can check at a glance make each transfer feel more controlled.
Features
- Velcro waist belt and security buckle. Holds the sling snug around the waist during the transfer.
- Loop or keyhole clip attachments. Pick the one that matches your standing hoist.
- Colour-coded binding. Red, yellow, green or blue edging shows the size at a glance.
- Soft bound edges. Gentler against the body during lifting.
- Labels built to last. High-definition woven labels designed not to fade, with 5-year service record and sling audit indicators.
- Unique serial number on every sling. Handy for tracking and record keeping in care settings.
- Easy care. Machine washable, flame-retardant polyester with anti-shrink webbing.
- Safe working load 220kg (Small and Medium) or 300kg (Large and X-Large).
- Made to AS/NZS ISO 10535:2011, with a 12-month warranty.
Is the Standing Sling Right for You?
It usually suits:
- people who can stand with support but have poor balance
- sit-to-stand transfers, such as bed to wheelchair or chair to commode
- walking practice with a standing hoist
Check with your OT or physio first:
- whether a standing sling is the right choice. Cobalt says the sling should only be used after a full assessment
- which size and attachment to choose
- for anything to do with the person's health or care plan, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider
Good to know before you order:
- The hoist is not included. This listing is for the sling only.
- Cobalt says these slings suit most brands of standing hoist. Check whether your hoist takes loops or keyhole clips before you choose.
- Inspect the sling before every use. If it's damaged, frayed or not in its original condition, don't use it.
Choosing the Right Size
Cobalt sizes this sling by height and waist. To choose:

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

To choose:
- Height: note the person's standing height.
- Waist: measure around the waist where the belt will sit.

Cobalt Standing Sling for Standing Hoists, Loop or Clip, Sizes S-XL Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
