Sammons Preston Durable Pill Cutter with Blade Guard and Storage
Split tablets cleanly and safely with the Sammons Preston Durable Pill Cutter
The Sammons Preston Durable Pill Cutter holds tablets firmly and splits them in half with a simple press of the lid. Cutting a tablet in half can make it easier to swallow, or help you take half the dose your doctor has prescribed.
Why You'll Love the Durable Pill Cutter
- A V-shaped holder grips pills of all sizes, so each cut lands where it should.
- The double bevelled stainless steel blade cuts straight through and stays sharp with repeated use.
- A retracting blade guard covers the blade when the lid is open, so your fingers stay clear of the edge.
- A built-in compartment lets you store the other half until your next dose.
Your life, with the Durable Pill Cutter
Halving tablets with a kitchen knife is fiddly, messy and easy to get wrong. With the Durable Pill Cutter, you drop the tablet into the V, press the lid down and it's done. The spare half goes straight into the built-in compartment, ready for later. Finger grooves make it comfortable to press even if your hands aren't as strong as they used to be, so managing your medication is a bit less of a chore.
The Durable Pill Cutter in a nutshell
- Ergonomic finger grooves: they add comfort when pressing down, helpful if you find firm pressure difficult.
- Coated or uncoated tablets: it handles both types up to ½" in diameter.
- Latex free: it's not made with natural rubber latex.
- Compact case: the clear lid closes over the blade and storage tray, so it tucks neatly into a drawer or bag.
Is it the right pill cutter for you?
- A good fit: splitting coated or uncoated tablets up to ½" across, especially if a knife feels fiddly or your grip is weaker.
- Check with your pharmacist first: some tablets shouldn't be split at all, so ask before you cut a new medicine.
- Also consider: a weekly pill organiser if you're keeping track of several medicines.
Some tablets should never be split. Always check with your pharmacist or doctor before cutting a tablet, and use it only as they advise.
Keeping track of several medicines? Pair it with our weekly pill organiser.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower

Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
