Innolife Hinged Knee Brace with Open Patella and Side Splints
Stable, natural knee movement with the Innolife Hinged Knee Brace
The Innolife Hinged Knee Brace pairs a bi-axial hinge that mimics the natural knee joint with an open patella and buttress to help keep the kneecap tracking well. Side splints and extra elastic straps add support, and it's made for mild to moderate knee instability, post-surgical recovery and general knee discomfort.
Why You'll Love the Innolife Hinged Knee Brace
- Moves like a knee. The bi-axial hinge follows the natural movement of the knee joint.
- Kneecap kept on track. An open patella with a patellar buttress relieves pressure and helps position the kneecap.
- Built-in support. Side splints allow full weight bearing and extra elastic straps add support.
- No bunching. An opening behind the knee stops the brace bunching when you bend.
Life with the Innolife Hinged Knee Brace
A knee that feels wobbly makes stairs, kerbs and long walks a worry. This brace wraps the knee, lines the hinges up on each side and fastens front and back, so you get steady support while still bending your knee normally. The opening at the back of the knee helps stop it bunching when you bend.
The Innolife Hinged Knee Brace in a nutshell
- Bi-axial hinges: sit on the inner and outer sides of the knee.
- Open patella with buttress: relieves pressure and positions the kneecap.
- Posterior opening: at the back of the knee to avoid bunching.
- Six sizes: Small to XXX-Large, including two bariatric sizes.
Choosing the right size
Measure around the knee, standing with the leg straight.
- Measure the knee. Wrap a soft tape around the middle of the kneecap, snug but not tight.
- Pick the size your measurement falls in. XX-Large and XXX-Large are bariatric sizes.
- Right on a boundary? Email us the measurement and we'll check it with you.
| Size | Around the knee |
| Small | 32-34cm |
| Medium | 34-37cm |
| Large | 37-40cm |
| X-Large | 40-43cm |
| XX-Large (bariatric) | 43-46cm |
| XXX-Large (bariatric) | 46-49cm |
Is it the right knee brace for you?
- A good fit: mild to moderate knee instability, post-surgical recovery and general knee discomfort, when you want to keep bending the knee normally.
- Check with your physio first: after surgery or a new injury, and for how long to wear it.
- Good to know: the open patella and opening at the back of the knee help stop bunching when you bend.
To fit it, wrap the brace around the knee with the kneecap in the opening, keep the wide part at the top, line the hinges up on each side of the knee and fasten the hook and loop at the front and back. Every knee and every recovery is different, so we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or physiotherapist about whether this is the right option for you, and follow their advice on wearing it.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Innolife Hinged Knee Brace with Open Patella and Side Splints Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
