Cobalt K-Dee 3/4 Length Fold Down Bed Rails for K-Dee II and Classic
Fold-Down Side Rails for Your K-Dee Bed
The Cobalt K-Dee 3/4 Length Fold Down Bed Rails are a pair of steel side rails for the Cobalt K-Dee II and K-Dee Classic beds, in single or king single size. Each rail runs from the headboard to roughly knee level, and folds down when you want clear access to the bed.
Dispatched from our Australian supplier's NSW warehouse, usually within 2-7 business days.
Why Choose 3/4 Length Rails
Bed rails, sometimes called safety sides, give a raised edge along the side of the bed and something solid to hold while you shift position. A 3/4 length rail covers the head and upper body but leaves the foot end open, which many people find easier for getting in and out. Fold the rail down for making the bed or helping someone sit up on the edge, then raise it again.
Features
- Made for K-Dee beds. Suits the Cobalt K-Dee II and K-Dee Classic, single and king single.
- 3/4 bed length. Reaches from the headboard to about knee level.
- Folds down. An easy raise and lower mechanism for clear access when you need it.
- Clamp-on, tool-free fitting. The rails clamp onto the bed frame without tools.
- Solid steel construction.
- Sold as a pair. One rail for each side of the bed.
- Complies with IEC 60601-2-52. The international safety standard for care beds.
- 12-month warranty.
Is It the Right Bed Rail for You?
It usually suits you if you:
- have a Cobalt K-Dee II or K-Dee Classic bed, single or king single
- want a raised side along the upper part of the bed, with the foot end left open
- want rails that fold down out of the way
Check with your healthcare provider first if:
- you're considering bed rails for someone who is confused, restless or likely to climb over them. Cobalt advises that bed rails are chosen with a health professional, alongside less restrictive options such as a bedside fall protection safety mat.
Good to know before you order:
- The rails are made for the K-Dee II and K-Dee Classic. They won't suit other beds.
- Cobalt's photos show the rails on more than one bed frame finish. Email us if you'd like to check the finish before you order.
- Padded rail covers are sold separately. Email us if you'd like a pair.
- The bed and mattress are sold separately.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Cobalt K-Dee 3/4 Length Fold Down Bed Rails for K-Dee II and Classic Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
