King Single Electric Hospital Bed for Home, K-Dee II with Battery Backup
A Wider Care Bed That Still Fits Through the Door
The K-Dee II King Single Electric Bed gives you a 105cm wide platform with five powered adjustments: height, backrest, knee break, and head-down and foot-down tilt. This listing comes with the battery backup, so the bed keeps working if the power drops out. Like the single, it splits into four sections to get through hallways, stairs and lifts.
Dispatched from our Australian supplier's NSW warehouse, usually within 2-7 business days.
Room to Move, Without the Hassle of Moving It
A king single is 17cm wider than a single, which gives you more room to roll over and sit up. The catch with most wide care beds is getting them inside. The K-Dee II comes apart into four sections that one or two people can put together in about 10-15 minutes with a 5mm Allen key. The motors stay on the frame and the leads use colour-coded plugs, so nothing needs rewiring.
Once it's in, the handset takes the bed from a low 33.5cm for getting in and out up to 72.5cm, so anyone helping you can work at a comfortable height. The beech wood grain panels at each end keep it looking like bedroom furniture.
Features
- Battery backup included. The bed still moves during a blackout, so a raised backrest isn't left stuck up.
- Five powered adjustments. Height, backrest, knee break, head-down tilt and foot-down tilt, all from the handset.
- Height from 33.5cm to 72.5cm. Low for getting in and out, high for making the bed and helping.
- Tilt up to 11° either way. Head-down or foot-down, straight from the handset.
- Handset with function lockout. Buttons can be locked so settings aren't changed by accident.
- Four-section pull-apart frame. Goes together with a 5mm Allen key and colour-coded plug-in leads.
- Four individually locking castors. Roll it out to clean behind, then lock it in place.
- 213kg safe working load. Maximum user weight is 178kg.
Is the K-Dee II King Single Bed Right for You?
It usually suits you if you:
- find a single care bed too narrow to turn over comfortably
- want the bed to keep working if the power goes out
- need it to fit through narrow hallways, stairs or a lift
- weigh 178kg or less
Good to know before you order:
- Measure the room first. The bed is 116 x 222cm overall, so leave space to walk around it.
- The mattress, side rails, self-help pole and bed extension in some photos are optional extras and aren't included.
- It takes a king single mattress of about 105 x 198cm. With the full-length side rails fitted, the mattress can be no thicker than 27cm.
- It plugs into a standard Australian power point.
- For advice on positioning, pressure care or which bed suits your needs, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
