Padded Bedside Commode Chair Height Adjustable 150kg
A bedside commode that looks like an armchair
The Padded Bedside Commode Chair Height Adjustable 150kg looks like a cushioned armchair, so it sits comfortably in a bedroom. Lift the padded seat and there's a toilet seat and removable pail underneath, right beside the bed for night time trips.
Fewer risky trips to the bathroom
A long walk to the toilet at night, half awake and in low light, is when many falls happen. A commode beside the bed shortens that trip to a few steps. And because this one looks like ordinary furniture, visitors won't give it a second glance.
Support when sitting and standing
The padded armrests are weight bearing, so you can push on them as you lower yourself down or stand back up. The seat height adjusts to suit your legs and your bed.
Easy to keep clean
A three sided skirt hides the PVC toilet seat. The pail has a lid and carry handle and lifts out for emptying and cleaning.
Features
- Armchair look: padded seat, back and armrests.
- Fold back padded seat: lifts to reveal the toilet seat.
- Weight bearing armrests: push up from them when standing.
- Adjustable height: seat height from 46 to 63.5cm.
- Three sided skirt: conceals the toilet seat and pail.
- Removable pail: with lid and carry handle.
- Zinc treated steel frame: rated to 150kg.
Is this bedside commode right for you?
- Usually suits: people who have trouble getting to the toilet quickly or safely, especially at night, and anyone who wants a commode that blends into the bedroom.
- Check first: the user's weight must be under 150kg. This is a static chair with no wheels, so it isn't designed to go over the toilet or into the shower.
- Assembly: minor assembly is required.
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or occupational therapist about the right commode for your needs.
Choosing the right seat height
- Measure from the floor to the back of the knee. Sit on a firm chair with feet flat and knees bent at about a right angle, then measure from the floor to the crease behind the knee.
- Match the seat. The seat adjusts from 46 to 63.5cm. A seat close to that measurement is easiest to get on and off.
- Check the space. The chair is 57cm wide and 58cm deep. Leave room beside it to turn and sit.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Padded Bedside Commode Chair Height Adjustable 150kg Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
