Public Access AED Cabinet | Alarmed & Weatherproof
Keep a Public-Access AED Secure, Visible and Weatherproof Outdoors
A defibrillator that is exposed to the weather, hard to spot, or an easy target for tampering undermines an entire public access defibrillation program, no matter how good the device inside it is. The HOTN Public Access AED Cabinet gives your AED a weatherproof, alarmed home built for the exact moment a bystander needs to find it fast, at a sports oval, community hall, workplace entry or council-managed public space.
IP54 Weatherproof Housing for Outdoor and Public-Access Sites
The cabinet is rated IP54, meaning it is dust-protected and resists splashing water from any direction. That covers rain, wind-blown dust and everyday outdoor conditions at a covered or semi-sheltered install point, such as under an awning, veranda, breezeway or building overhang. It is not rated for full submersion or direct, driving rain with no cover at all; if your site sits fully exposed, contact us before you order so we can help you check whether IP54 suits that exact spot.
Why You'll Love This AED Cabinet
- IP54 weatherproof housing shields the cabinet from dust, rain, cold, rust and humidity, which means you can install it outdoors under cover without buying a second enclosure.
- Door-triggered audible alarm sounds the moment the cabinet is opened, which means tampering or theft is flagged immediately and bystanders are alerted in a genuine emergency.
- Clear polycarbonate door lets anyone confirm the AED is present at a glance, which means staff and visitors are not opening the cabinet just to check during a safety walkthrough.
- High-visibility HOTN livery and AED signage makes the cabinet easy to spot from a distance, which means a first responder or member of the public finds it fast, even on a large or unfamiliar site.
- Compact 41 x 33 x 19 cm footprint mounts flush to a wall without eating into floor space or evacuation routes, and pairs with the CardiAct Cabinet Stand if you need a freestanding install instead.
Who This Suits
- Councils and local government running a public access defibrillation program
- Sporting clubs and community ovals that need a visible, weatherproof AED point
- Facility and WHS managers installing or upgrading AED storage for a safety audit
- Workplaces, community halls and public venues where the AED needs to be found by anyone on site, not just staff
Before ordering, check the cabinet dimensions below against your AED's own external dimensions; it is sized for most common AED models but compatibility with every make and model is not supplier-confirmed, so measure first if you are unsure.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Public Access AED Cabinet | Alarmed & Weatherproof Reviews
Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
