Vulkan Wrist Splint 2288 Long Wrist Brace with Palmar Stay, Beige
Longer wrist support that fits either hand with the Vulkan Long Wrist Splint
The Vulkan Wrist Splint 2288 is the long version of the Vulkan wrist splint. It pairs a palmar stay under the wrist with flexible compression fabric and fits your right or left hand by moving the stay across.
Why You'll Love the Vulkan Wrist Splint 2288
- Longer coverage. The long length carries the support further along the forearm than the short 2182 splint.
- One splint, either hand. Move the palmar splint to switch sides. Tabs fasten at the top or bottom depending on the side.
- Support plus compression. Flexible compression supports the wrist and improves proprioception.
- Quick to put on. Rest your wrist on the stay, close the tabs and wrap the strap to secure.
Life with the Vulkan Wrist Splint 2288
When your wrist needs a bit more support, a longer splint spreads the hold along your forearm. Your fingers and thumb stay free for everyday jobs, and the wrap strap lets you set how snug it feels.
The Vulkan Wrist Splint 2288 in a nutshell
- Palmar stay: supports the wrist from underneath and moves to suit either hand.
- Flexible compression: nylon and latex fabric for support and better wrist awareness.
- Long length: more forearm coverage than the short version.
- Latex note: contains 30% latex, so it's not suitable if you are allergic to latex.
Choosing the right size
Sizing is by wrist circumference. Measure the wrist the splint is for, with the tape snug but not tight. The same splint fits either hand, so you only need to choose the size.
- Measure around the wrist. Wrap the tape around the wrist at the wrist crease and note the measurement in cm.
- Pick the size from the table below.
- Right on 16cm? That's where Small ends and Medium starts. Email us the measurement and we'll help you choose.
- Set the side. Move the palmar stay across to fit the right or left hand.
| Size | Wrist circumference |
| Small | 14-16cm |
| Medium | 16-18cm |
Is it the right wrist splint for you?
- A good fit: a wrist that needs support from underneath along more of the forearm, with the fingers and thumb left free.
- Not suitable if: you're allergic to latex. The fabric is 30% latex.
- Also consider: the short Vulkan Wrist Splint 2182 if you want a lower-profile splint.
This splint is listed for carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, radial nerve palsy and wrist instability. Every wrist and every recovery is different, so we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider or hand therapist about whether this is the right option for you.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Australian owned and operated by David Thiu, Mobility Shop Direct was founded in 2019 to help all Australians find the right Mobility Aids to maintain their Mobility and Independence.
Whilst working as a Locum Pharmacist throughout Australia, David noticed that many of his patients were frustrated by how hard it was to find mobility aids and by the lack of information available. Most Pharmacies either did not stock any Mobility Aids, or those that did only had a limited range available, with many staff members insufficiently trained. Even when shopping online, most of the sites that did sell mobility aids were difficult to navigate, did not provide enough educational material to assist with the buying process, and did not have a wide enough selection.
To fill this gap in the market, David spent hundreds of hours researching, writing buying guides, and building this brand new site that you're on now. Thanks to David you can now shop, browse and learn about Mobility Aids all in one place in the comfort of your own home, and even have everything delivered to your doorsteps!
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone, email, and live chat. Operating online-only means we can offer all this without sacrificing any of the things that made us excited to start this business in the first place like being able to travel and help people all over the world.
How We Give Back To The Community:
We love to give back to our community. Our love for Mobility Aids extends far beyond our local community. We've partnered with Variety to help Children live a better life with the help of Mobility Aids. It's amazing what a difference a Mobility Aid can make to a person's life. Watch this video to learn more about what Variety does for children and families in Australia.
Please consider donating to our fundraising campaign for the Variety. All proceeds go to help children in need to help them gain Mobility, Self Esteem, and Independence.

Let customers speak for us
from 606 reviewsIt is great just what I wanted
Very very good. Worth the money
A message from the delivery firm the day before with even a am/pm delivery plan would have helped me rearrange a meeting more easily
My brother, just recently arrived in Aged Care, had an old walker which had given good service. He is now less able to get around and the old walker had iffy brakes. So we borrowed another inmate’s “Rolls Royce” Drive walker and he was rapt! Could adjust the arms himself, partner could toss it into her car and the brakes were much easier to use. All in all 10/10!
Definitely 5 star product! Sturdy, glides smoothly, attractive, packaged extraordinarily well and delivered super quickly! Forget flat-packs! Pay for a good quality piece of furniture!
Very helpful. And order was quickly dispatched
Exactly what advertised and exactly what we needed
Great - easy ordering and fully met expectations
I ordered a bedside cabinet on wheels for my 96yr old mum. I did not want a flat pack. I wanted a sturdy, well-made & nice looking piece of furniture. I ordered online. I’m VERY pleased with what I received. Delivery free & arrived here Newcastle in three days. Delivery guy brought it inside & unpacked it for me. The packaging was PRIMO. I cannot overstate how well it was packaged. There was zero chance it would ever get damaged in transit. I attached the three handles which were provided with extra screws AND a screw driver (nice). The cabinet is attractive, moves easily on it’s castors & has a lip around the top to stop items falling off. Quality product well worth the investment. A++++++
Really good quality
Easy to find products online, ordering is very easy very competitive prices and extremely fast delivery
The Assistance Handle has been amazing for my husband who has just had a Quadricep Rupture repair. He used it to help him get in and out of the car whilst keeping his leg straight.
Grab Rail very suitable for our shower
Lightweight yet sturdy perfect for stability
Excellent, folds up neatly to fit in the boot of my daughter’s small car. Takes up little room when dining out.I feel very safe when walking.
